Namaste, welcome to prenatal Vinyasa Yoga. My name is Jennifer Wolfe and I am a prenatal and vinyasa yoga instructor, a doula, a childbirth educator, a hypnotherapist, and a mother.

I have worked with hundreds of pregnant women before, during and after the birth of their babies and have seen the wonderful benefits that doing yoga while pregnant can have on your body, your birth experience, and your recovery from childbirth.

This DVD was specifically developed for women who have been practicing Vinyasa flow, Ashtanga, or Power Yoga before they were pregnant but can also be used for women who practice other forms of yoga or beginners who wish to build strength and flexibility. If you are a beginner please use the 3rd trimester modifications demonstrated by Binna. This will allow you to gain strength and flexibility safely and once you feel comfortable with the routine you can move to the 1st or 2nd trimester modifications as appropriate.

Although yoga is a safe form of exercise for pregnant women, every woman's body is different and requires attention and awareness during any exercise to ensure the body's well being. Please obtain permission from your doctor, midwife or health provider before doing any prenatal exercise and most important, listen to your body.

You know how some workout videos get old after awhile??? Not this one! When I got the video I was about 13-14 weeks and was still going to my regular yoga classes at our gym. However, after doing the DVD just one time I was hooked and have not returned to class! I feel like I am getting an excellent strength and cardio workout with a focus on movements that are safe for me and our baby. I look forward to doing it every time and on some days have actually chosen it over other planned workouts!

This dvd is truly incredible. I started it in my third week of pregnancy and was hooked! It was the only prenatal dvd that I stuck with because not only did I feel restored and more centered after the workout (yes, it's long but very well paced), but I noticed that my body became very tone and flexible and...dare I say it, even LOOKED better as time went on. My legs and buttocks were more toned than they have ever been -not something I expected to see during pregnancy!
I have had some dance training as well as a brief background in Pilates, so I went into this in pretty good shape. You need to have a fairly good awareness of body alignment to get the most of this dvd. It's challenging, but not to the point where you will wear yourself out. And I would like to add, I gave birth two weeks ago, went through a very traumatic dry delivery, and as a 41 year-old first time mom, I'm amazed at how quickly my body recovered. If I could give this dvd more stars I would. Cannot recommend it highly enough!
