About the author:
Born in Athens, Greece and raised in the states, Aleka has straddled the Atlantic and had a foot on each continent for many years. An avid reader from a very young age, she entered her first literary contest at twelve with a poem in her native Greek language. The poem placed second in the international competition and ricocheted Aleka's love for writing to the top of her list.

High school and college proved to be a battle between journalism and graduation. However, the need to finish her degrees kept her writing private until her desire to write was no longer containable, and she ended her management career to write full-time. Aleka's efforts paid off, and her initial publishing contract was a present delivered on time for Christmas. Her novella, Sempre, was published in the Holiday in the Heart Romance Anthology.

Today, Aleka spends her days with her family enjoying the simple pleasures in life. She loves to travel and does so with every excuse available to her. Blending her life passions of story telling, travel, and exotic cultures, Aleka aims to transport her readers into the magical world of romance.

Eyes of the Dead

By Aleka Nakis

What would you endure to find the cure for the
disease that killed your mother? Exposure to
venomous snakes? Raging rapids without a life
jacket? Drug lords who dab in sex trafficking?

Would you relinquish control and trust your life
in a dead man's hands?

Tiffany Jensen, a young breast cancer researcher,
confronts her greatest fear and flies on a plane to
a foreign country alone. Venturing into the dangerous
terrain of the Mayan jungle, she is willing to do just
about anything for the cure.

Antonio Francisco Fernandez, aka Agent AFFCROC,
is open to only one possibility: getting Tiffany out of
his territory and safely back to the States. Will his
insistence deny her success, or struggling to find her
way, will she come face to face with the eyes of the
dead?
