About the author:
John Janovy, Jr. is a prize-winning teacher who has sent many undergraduates into professional careers. He is author of approximately 100 scientific papers and a dozen books, including ON BECOMING A BIOLOGIST and TEACHING IN EDEN. He has won the Mentorship Award from the American Society of Parasitologists and the Distinguished Teaching Award from the University of Nebraska.
