My Account Help > Setting List Prices

To sell your title on a CreateSpace public E-Store and/or the Amazon Retail program, you must specify the list price during title setup.

List price is your suggested retail price or MSRP.  The list price you provide should represent either the full retail price listed on the product itself via another channel (as suggested by you or estimated in accordance with standard industry practice) or the estimated retail value for a comparably featured item offered elsewhere.

You may change a list price at any time by visiting your Member Dashboard and clicking the edit icon Edit Title for the title, then navigating to the Sales & Promotion section. See our Prices Page for details of unit fees. Depending on what sales channels you choose, CreateSpace and/or Amazon will set the selling price of titles to customers.

Unfortunately, we are unable to publish titles whose list prices are less than the fees due to CreateSpace for a given sale (our “publish-at” rate). For example, if you choose only public E-Store sales on the Sales & Promotion page, CreateSpace keeps the unit manufacturing fees shown on the pricing page plus a sales channel fee for titles sold through an E-Store. The publish-at rate is higher if you select options which incur additional fees.

Changes to your title, including list price, may take up to 15 business days to appear on Amazon.com. Sales occurring before your updated list price appears on Amazon.com will earn a royalty based on your previous list price.
