Royalties for Customer DVD on Demand Orders
For DVDs sold to customers, your royalty equals the list price you set in your member account minus our share. Our share is calculated by taking a percentage of the list price plus a fixed charge. The fixed charge is $4.95 per unit, plus an additional $2.50 per additional DVD in the same case after the first (a case can hold up to four discs). The percentage varies depending on where you list your DVD: CreateSpace E-store = 15%, Amazon.com = 45%.
For example...
if you sold a DVD with a list price of $25.00 through a CreateSpace E-Store, you would earn a royalty of $16.30 per sale. The calculation is as follows:

If we decide to sell your DVD at a lower price than your list price, you will still earn your royalty based on the list price you set in your member account. For example, in the illustration above, if we sold your DVD for $20.00, you would still earn $16.30. Discounts you set yourself in your member account are considered reductions to your list price for the purpose of calculating your royalty.
DVD Duplication Orders
Duplication orders, which are also called "wholesale DVD orders" or "owner disc orders", are orders for multiple copies of the same DVD shipped directly to a single address you designate in a single order. For wholesale orders you pay the fixed charge minus a volume discount if the order is for 50 or more copies of the same DVD.

For example, if you ordered 100 copies of a DVD, you would pay $297.00 plus shipping ($2.97 each for 100 DVDs). If your DVD has more than one disc in it, you pay the fixed fee based on number of discs less the volume discount. For example, if you ordered 100, 2-disc sets, you'd pay $447.00 plus shipping (each unit costs $4.47, which is the fixed fee of $4.95 + $2.50 for the second disc less the 40% volume discount).
You pay for wholesale orders when you place your order and you don't earn royalties for wholesale copies. Unless we have a valid resale certificate from you in our system at the time of your order, you will be charged sales tax on certain wholesale orders.
DVD Proof Copies
The cost for a proof copy is the same as the cost for a single wholesale DVD, and you don't earn royalties for proof copies.
