About the Author:
Ty McTier started his bow-making journey when he was only a teenager. Not having access to electrical woodworking tools, McTier learned bow making the only way he could - the traditional way. With a hatchet purchased from a local hardware store, McTier went to work. Hundreds of bows later, McTier has fallen more in love with the process with each passing day. Approaching the bow making craft as a work of art (while still using a hatchet- albeit a much nicer one than the piece of pot metal that he started with) McTier's "organic" style has won him fans from budding and established bowyers from all over the world. In McTier's newest undertaking, "The Lost Art of Bow Making" DVD series, he is able to guide the viewer past many of the pitfalls that one will encounter on their bow-making journey.
