About the author:
A résumé instructor, consultant and professional résumé writer for more than 22 years, Gretchen Slinker Jones was raised and educated in Southwestern Idaho and currently makes her home on the fringe of the beautiful Selkirk Mountain range in NE Washington state.

Jones has been teaching résumé writing to high school and college students, and to adults through community schools and group workshops since 1990.

The owner of a desktop publishing and business writing company, she specializes in writing résumés for people all over the globe via the Internet.

Jones' current titles include Too Deep to Shovel: Digging Into the Issues Facing American Citizens in the 21st Century; Breastfeeding Your Baby: The Right Choice, Your Resume : A Crash Course, Your Resume : A Crash Course 2, Selkirk Mountain Inspiration 1, 2 and 3; and the RSVP Reading2Presentation spelling and vocabulary series.

Previous projects include a weekly newspaper column and numerous newspaper articles. Jones is currently working on a novel set in her native Idaho and several other books, and her poetry is available under the title Song of the Heart: The Complete Collection.

Not Just Another Resume Book

Authored by Gretchen Slinker Jones

Best skills assessment and résumé writing source for working adults, as well as for teaching high school students. Condensed from the author's three-hour résumé writing group workshop, this focused study course on résumé writing will rapidly guide you into assessing your skills and abilities, gathering your information, and writing the best résumé you've ever had, whether you are a student in a classroom or an individual in a life-changing job search.
Nothing short of a "bargain" -- the author charges $18.95 just to review and critique a résumé.

Appalled at the lack of quality résumés in senior exit portfolios, Jones developed her workshop into book form to market as a great addition to a high school or college careers class, English class, or senior portfolio class. A Teacher's Edition, complete with unit lesson plans, is available to accompany this book.

An excellent resource for FFA Career Development Event Job Interview competitors, Job Corp programs, tech schools and skills centers.
