David Oliver Kueker has been fascinated by evangelism and disciple making ever since he became a follower of Jesus on the campus of the University of Illinois in 1972 through the ministry of the Jesus People.

In creating the imaginary world of his novels, he draws together insights from a variety of sources:
- the New Testament's approach to making disciples
- lay driven disciple making methods of the world's largest and fastest growing churches
- the sociology of cultural change and innovation
- organizational and family systems theory
- thirty years of experience as a local church pastor.

How Exactly Does One Make Disciples?

Pastor John Wesley Adam's journey into disciple making begins with this seemingly simple question. Before long he is drawn into a mysterious movement of people working quietly within their own churches, people who are entirely focused on a simple goal: following Jesus and making disciples.

The First Step to Making Disciples: BE ONE.

In this novel Dr. Kueker imagines what a movement for disciple making might be like in our time, rising up within the churches of our century just as the early Christians arose within the religious context of their culture.

ASCENDING GRACE is Book One of the CIRCLES OF GRACE trilogy of novels on disciple making.
