About the author:
Jennifer Fisher, an experienced law enforcement officer and instructor for the North Carolina Justice Academy, has brought together the most current information pertinent to human trafficking and the role of the law enforcement officer in recognizing and handling this emerging crime. She is a previous Special Victims Crime Investigator and still active in law enforcement. She earned her Masters Degree in Criminal Justice from East Carolina University and serves on the N. C. Human Trafficking Task Force, R.I.P.P.L.E. helping to coordinate multi-agency efforts to fight human trafficking.
