Byron Mettler is a retired Police Officer who has witnessed the violence and moral corruption caused by drugs and crime. Using his expert training in substance abuse, he has arrested meth addicts, heroin junkies and drug pushers who are polluting our society with chemical death.

His first published book Speed Kills won the 2007 Nancy Bayless Award from the San Diego Christian Writers Guild. Speed Kills! introduced Police Explorer Scout, Tom Proctor as an unassuming young crime fighter who faces life and death battles while assisting the Oak Hills Police Department.

The Explorers Series books are realistic fiction, with many of the stories based on actual police drama that Officer Mettler was a part of.
