About the author:
Stephen P Burns is by day a Professional Engineer He lives in Kelowna BC in the heart of the Okanagan Valley in Canada. Married to the girl he first met back in his teens, he has two boys aged 11 and 13. His inspiration for storytelling comes from them.

He was born and raised in Dumfries, Scotland, the home of his namesake Robert Burns, the Scottish Bard, and has lived in various locations throughout Scotland and next to the sea in Northern Ireland. He has Bachelor Degrees in Engineering, Sciences and Arts, with a post graduate education in Engineering Management. He has written creatively in some form for most of his life. This is his first full novel.

Finn McGarrigle is an ordinary teenager, with a damaged life, whose world changes after a freak accident sends him to a world of medieval adventure in a land where he is transformed, whole and the heir to the throne. However, the Land is ruled by a tyrant who has overthrown his Father, the true King.

When it becomes evident his life is in danger, Finn and his brother Dara have to leave the Homelands and begin a quest to return their father to his true position. However following a journey filled with adventure and danger Dara disappears, and Finn himself is imprisoned. In a turn of fate he has to return to the Homelands and face his destiny; to defeat the tyrant and fulfill his destiny.
