About the author:
Dr. Aoukar, M.D., a native of Sleepy Hollow, NY, is specializing in cardiology. He continues intense research activities in cardiovascular medicine and has an avid interest in prevention of cardiovascular disease. He received his Medical Degree with Research Honors from the University at Buffalo School of Medicine in May, 2003. Prior to medical school, Dr. Aoukar graduated from Cornell University with a BA in Chemistry, simultaneously completing the requirements for a degree in Nutrition. As a consequence of both personal and educational experiences, Dr. Aoukar has dedicated both his career and life to the prevention of heart disease through the study of medicine and the culinary arts.
