About the author:
Sara McIntosh is a lifelong writer and accounting/finance industry expert. She spent 25+ years in the world of international finance working first as an executive and then heading a consultancy where over a hundred of the world's largest corporations were her clients.
Sara knows a good story trumps the best white paper any day of the week, thus she's also become a paperback writer. Combining her love of financial frauds, romance and suspense, she completed her first novel, Shell Games, in the spring of 2010 and is currently working on the next novel in the series, Tricks of the Trade.
Sara currently resides in a north suburb of Chicago, IL, just a few short blocks from her beloved Lake Michigan.
Being the best always comes with a price.
Financial super sleuth, Marjorie Stevens, lands the assignment of a lifetime-uncovering the largest white-collar fraud in history. The scam is so massive it takes the U.S. Treasury's $700 billion TARP bailouts and the deaths of several global CEOs to cover up the shell games. With the stakes this high, Marjorie's life is in danger before she's even started.
Working for the government's financial cops, Marjorie believes the money trails she's tracing are safe from spying eyes, but her backdoor routes are leading the fraud's perpetrators directly to her. With their henchmen in close pursuit, Marjorie abandons Chicago for the ski slopes of Sundance to conduct her global data hunt. When the resort's handsome owner, Bob Bedford, is pulled into the shell games, the slopes quickly heat up.
But the killers are packing their own heat-and Marjorie needs lovers and luck to stay alive and crack the fraud wide open.
