Chance for the Future

Authored by Paul M. Carhart

In a futuristic world where creativity has been banned in favor of "more useful" social and economic endeavors, Mancy Fairlight secretly paints pictures in her run-down apartment while raising her son, Rembrandt. But Mancy lives in constant fear that one day General Starrk, the same man who had engineered her husband's public execution, will discover her secret and come for her. When Remy begins to exhibit extraordinary musical talent, Mancy's secret becomes even harder to keep and her worst fears become reality. At the same time, Mancy unwittingly catches the attention of a dark stranger who seems to have links to her past. And if he has his way, her future as well...

Mancy is thrown into a rollercoaster ride of adventure, romance and self-discovery in which she discovers an unsettling constant truth: It only requires one person to destroy a world... and only one to revive it.

"Engaging characters, witty dialogue, and page turning action makes this one book you just can't put down!" - Rick Bentsen, author of The Blademaster Chronicles
