About the author:
Michael Malott has been writing and publishing books, both on his own and with his son's book series for three years. His solo children's books feature Malott's own primitive drawings. These drawings have been called anything from raw outsider art to pop art and were originally done for the purpose of guiding an illustrator on Malott's ideas. The drawings are so primitive that people actually found them entertaining and a decision was made with Malott's first solo children's book title, to release the book featuring Malott's original rough sketches. That book, "The Adventures of Seymour the Cat" was well received, especially since it was discovered that these books also double as coloring books. Malott's sketches seemed to actually add to the book's personality. Soon after, the art world dubbed Malott as the "Basquiat of Children's Books" due to his almost graffiti type approach, and overnight his drawings became a commodity on the art market. Not only children were after his books, but art fans also found them entertaining.

Adventures of a Rock & Roll Star

"The Big Show"

Authored by Michael Malott

"The Adventures of a Rock & Roll star gives children a complete insight into the exciting and fast moving world of a live rock concert event. Join our group of rock stars on a typical day "on tour" as they prepare for their evenings show, visit record stores, stop by the radio stations, and later take the stage. The book also explains live show personnel and their roles in a live production.
"The Adventures of a Rock & Roll Star" is a limited edition version of a children's book which Malott originally wrote for his friend LaJon Witherspoon, for his daughter's birthday. LaJon is also the lead singer of the highly successful rock band, Sevendust. Malott created this adventure based on his friend's life.
