Devon is a self-proclaimed bad kid – the type that does not fear death, is not afraid of pain, and never dreams of anything better.
Is it possible to survive without joining the gang? Who can Devon turn to when he comes face to face with the things he claims he does not fear?
D. Ed. Hoggatt reaches into the depths of the inner city to rescue a lost soul.
From the Author:
I wanted to write a book in which the main character was a bad dude. I think I succeeded with Devon, but even though he's bad, the reader really should root for him.
Devon is in a bad situation. Coming from poverty and living in the inner city, he knows no other life. He accepts his life - fighting for survival on the streets - is just the way life is.
Very soon, Devon will realize that life does not have to be what he has always thought it to be, that he and his hard-working mother can - with the help of others - climb out of his current situation and make a difference in the lives of others.
