Transition, Turmoil, and Hope: The ESL Profession after 9-11

Authored by Robert Bruce Scott

Interviews with leading teachers, administrators, teacher educators, materials designers, textbook authors, researchers and scholars in the field of Teaching English as a Second Language (ESL), originally published in the ESL MiniConference Online, and with a foreword by Robert Bruce Scott, Editor of the ESL MiniConference Online. These interviews are great for new or prospective teachers, to give them a real sense of what to expect in a career in ESL/EFL, and also wonderfully refreshing for seasoned professionals, to renew their spirits and bring them encouragement and motivation to succeed. The book is a great complement to TESOL methodology textbooks in a teacher preparation program.
