About the author:
Charles T. Whipple is a journalist and author who resides in Chiba, Japan. Whipple was born in the state of Arizona, USA, in November 1941. He spent his first 18 years in that state, and has since lived in Hawaii, Hong Kong, and Japan.

Writing professionally since 1976, Whipple aka Chuck Tyrell is published in many well-known magazines and newspapers. His first novel, a Western set in Arizona, was published in 2005. Since, six more are in print, one is scheduled for publication in November 2011. Whipple belongs to the American Association of Journalists and Authors, Western Writers of America, Arizona Authors Association, Western Fictioneers, and Tauranga Writers Inc.

Whipple is married with two sons, four daughters, and 18 grandchildren.
