Tried & True
Revelations of a Rebellious Youth
Following university studies in the USA, a young idealist returns to Jamaica with revolution on his mind. For the next four years, he focuses on his mission to mobilize a critical mass of people - youth in particular - in order to catalyze social progress. As he manages his popular social website, hosts a nationally syndicated radio talk show and launches a non-profit organization that takes Kingston by storm, he also discovers his own unique outlook and insight that help to shape his spiritual growth.
This revealing memoir sets an example for other young doers and agitators who find their altruistic contributions stalled by a pressing need to pay attention to personal insufficiencies. As a concerned human being who tries to do for others, it is important to remain true to oneself or otherwise risk being of no use to the revolution at all.
