The force field's inventor, Dr. Thaddeus Woodcock the physicist retired from Ohio University, must send seven mutant orphan teenagers, including his (secret) grandson Alon E. Strange Chance, to find another suitable Earth for Hope Valley's survivors.
John X. Grey has written eleven novels in the fantasy, horror and science-fiction genres, the latter including Worldjumpers, between 2000 and 2011, and after having failed through traditional publishing avenues now makes his first foray into self-publishing. Living alone in his Southern Ohio hometown, which will remain anonymous for now since he sees himself as an outsider or mysterious stranger there and the town as parts unknown or terra incognita, John felt a calling to become the fiction author after his salvation in April 1997 when accepting Jesus Christ. Grey maintains faith his career will someday prove successful.
