About the author:
J. Lee McPherson lives in the southern part of Missouri. Other than writing, his hobbies are mostly singing and playing his guitar at local jam sessions. He always liked putting words to music and his family saw something in the way he wrote, so encouraged him to try his luck at writing books. In his later years of life, he decided to try it and so in less than a year he came up with 'The Stars of Ivondale' along with 'The Shadow Dog of Jeremiah' and a Christmas story called 'Bobba Long the Bowlegged Snowman'. He finished another Christmas story called 'The Magic Snowball' and an exciting novel called 'The Storm Shelter'. Now J. Lee McPherson figures he has finally found his niche in life and plans on writing as long as he can take the pictures from his mind and, with a little imagination, put them to words. He chose to first publish his books as eBooks with the first being, 'Bobba Long the Bowlegged Snowman'. To see all the books that J. The Legend of Zinnia

Authored by J. Lee McPherson, J. Lee McPherson

The normal everyday life of the Harless family took a drastic change when the old woman known as Miss Zinnia came into their lives. How did the young Joey Harless react when something she did made him turn rigid as stone. Could she really see into the past and future. Could she take the shape of an animal and disappear at will? The old woman became a legend around the hill country of Gilmer County, West Virginia and some say her name was whispered by many of the early settlers in the area when the town of Shale Bluff only consisted of a general store, a few small businesses and a bank. That wouldn't be possible however if one was to add the years. That would make her over one hundred and fifty years old. Joey Harless would learn many things about the old woman and unravel some of the mystery and but not without feeling the effects of the old woman's magic.
