About the author:
Audrey Coatesworth is a retired doctor, who worked for over 35 years as an English psychiatrist. She specialised in the treatment of unresolved traumas, working with grief, post traumatic disorders and abused patients.

Since retiring, she has devoted much time to carrying on her therapeutic input by writing.

She has written poetry for children, Poems for 3-7 years, Growing Up and Coping with Illness and Grief , to encourage the values which ultimately lead to a more fulfilled and content life e.g. kindness, endeavour, courage, sharing, compassion etc.

She has written poems for teenagers, in Choice for Teenagers, realising that the decisions teenagers make, particularly in the present climate of behaviour, can impact on adult life in an increasingly damaging way.

Her poetry books for adults - Daily Life, From Darkness to Light, and A Spiritual Journey, take the readers through the different levels of life - from the daily life and experiences, through the trials and tribulations to a spiritual awareness.

All are based on her work and experience - both personal and collective knowledge from patients over many years.

She is a wife, mother and grandmother, and her family are central to her life.

Interests - gardening and music, and 'being outdoors'.

She is a wife, mother and grandmother

Kaleidoscope BOOK 1

Authored by Audrey Coatesworth
Cover design or artwork by David S Earnshaw

This is the first in the poetry book series 'Kaleidoscope'. The poems are written by a retired psychiatrist, Dr Audrey Coatesworth, who now uses the written word with a therapeutic intention. The poems are based on her knowledge and experience - both from her work and her life.

Unlike her other poetry books - which have a 'theme', these poems cover many topics. Hence the title 'Kaleidoscope'.

The cover, painted by artist David S Earnshaw ( elder brother of Audrey Coatesworth) and without knowledge of the book or the content of the poems, gives a beautiful representation of the poems in the book.

In the midst of the different shades of life's experiences can be found a different and always flowing source of energy and light.
