About the author:
Jennifer Holik is a genealogical research professional and the owner of Generations. She has a BA in History from Missouri University of Science and Technology.

Jennifer has over sixteen years of research and writing experience and writes several blogs including Kids' Genealogy, Chicago Family History and Family History Research. She has authored articles for local and national genealogical publications. She is a freelance writer for's Chicago Genealogy column. Her book, To Soar with the Tigers, originally written for adults, will be released in juvenile form by early 2013.

Jennifer also lectures in the Chicagoland area on using technology with genealogy and finishing the stories of your military ancestors.
