About the author:
Will David Mitchell previously published three mainstream books: "Debugging Java" with Osborne/McGraw-Hill, and two novels "Audaz" and "To Chase The Wind" with Publish America.
During the last two months of 2011, he published three more novels and two non-fiction books with Amazon, and has published another two novels and a non-fiction book during the first three months of 2012. He has written hundreds of technical books and papers for his employers.
Will David has had a wildly varied career, as a foreign car mechanic, racer, artist, musician, Air Force and commercial pilot, navigator, USAF electronic warfare officer, project manager, corporate President VP and CDO, corporation architect, computer consultant, salesman, instructor at three universities, real estate agent, mortgage banker, and yes, negotiator, but so far, not a doctor, lawyer nor Indian chief. He has served as a trustee and deacon in two churches and regularly plays soprano saxophone in a worship band.
In 2010, Will David graduated summa cum laude with an MBA, atop his 1989 Master of Science and 1976 Bachelor of Arts, both in mathematics. When asked why he wanted an MBA at age 70, he quipped, "That's the best path to getting a doctorate." The Real reason, of course, was to master the art and science of business.
Will David serves as the current Chief Division Officer of two corporations in the Good Samaritans Group. GSI, the non-profit, exists to give grants to families displaced by the mortgage crisis. GSA is a for-profit company founded to fund GSI activities.
Will David lives in San Diego with his wife Carol and son Andrew. Completing the family are David's brother John and his daughter and son-in-law, Christie and Robert Mach, heroine and hero of the Mach Books series of aviation novels.

When you negotiate a $1,000 better price on a car, you just made $1,000 in free money. Yes, free for the asking.
If you get a $400 better price on an appliance, your outgo decreased $400, and as Benjamin Franklin famously said, "A penny saved is a penny earned." Okay, he was making a pun about savings in a bank.
Conversely, when buying or selling your home, if you negotiate a $20,000 better price, you get the equivalent of a nice car. And it's Free Money.

When you're near the end of the negotiation, perhaps for a new home, just ask, "Can't you do any better than that?" and wear the appropriate, pained expression.
More often than not, the other person will say something like, "Well, I guess I could come down another $1,500."
Do the math. If it takes you six seconds, 1/10th of a minute to ask the question, and doing it earns $1,500, then that's $15,000 a minute or $9,000,000 an hour.
All you have to do is ask, and you will receive.
If you don't ask, the answer is "No."
