About the author:
Barbara Bentley grew up in the San Francisco Bay Area, in a middle-class, blue collar
town. She graduated summa cum laude with a BS in Marketing and was the Outstanding
Undergraduate of the Business School at Golden Gate University in 1986. Her new
degree allowed her to advance in the Quality Assurance arena and she retired
after a thirty-nine year career.

Bentley is a victim's advocate in California, where she was directly responsible for the passage of Assembly Bill 16, which changed California divorce law. A member of STAND! For Families Free of Violence, she addresses women's and victim's rights organizations, and her story was featured on Lifetime's Final Justice and NBC's Dateline. Her first book, A Dance with the Devil: A True Story of Marriage to a Psychopath, was listed in the Huffington Post as one of five books to read to learn about psychopaths. She maintains the web site to continue to educate the public and to provide links to agencies and websites that can help a victim after an encounter with a psychopath. In 2009, she was awarded the prestigious Paul H. Chapman Award from The Foundation for Improvement of Justice in recognition of her accomplishments in Legal Reform.

As Bentley wrote her first book, she realized she had used four tools to achieve success. She shares those tools using four events in her life as examples in her second book, "The Little Book of Success: Turn Your Dreams into Reality with Four Simple Tools"

The Little Book of Success: Turn Your Dreams into Reality with Four Simple Tools

Authored by Barbara Bentley

When life threw her an unexpected curve, Barbara Bentley took the experience and turned it into a book to help others understand the crazymaking world of psychopaths. While writing her first book, Barbara discovered that she had used four simple tools throughout her life to create success after success. She wrote "The Little Book of Success" to share her discoveries. Using everyday examples from her life, she illustrates how passion, planning, patience, and persistence turned her dreams into reality. This little book will help you do the same. At the end of each chapter, there are questions to "Give it Some Thought" and a few lined pages for the reader to jot down ideas that emerge. Use this book to help you achieve success. Gift this book as an inspirational path for graduates, newlyweds, birthdays, or whenever someone needs a lift to know that they can make a difference for themselves and for others.
