Return to Metahuman Press
About the author:
A writer of all things weird and superheroic since childhood, Nicholas Ahlhelm transformed his love for comics and prose in to the company Metahuman Press. While not editing anthologies like Pirates & Swashbucklers, Presidential Pulp and I Was a Teenage Superhero, he spends his time writing his own fiction. His previous short novel Freedom Patton is also available through Metahuman Press while his short work can be found in Pulp Empire Volume 1 and Volume 2, the Pulp Obscura collection The New Adventures of Thunder Jim Wade, as well as future collections from Pro Se Press and Airship 27.
He lives in Eastern Iowa with his wife Gloria and his two daughters. He doesn't have any cats and never quite understood why so many authors talk about their pets in these things.
They disappeared seventy years ago: a group of mystery men and women from the forties. They reappeared in the modern day, lost in time, cut off from the lives they knew and up against a world vastly changed from the one they knew.
Black Owl: the hero out of retirement that left a wife and child behind.
Ghost Woman: a young woman with secrets even she does not understand.
Flag Man & Rusty: the true patriot and his young aide, split by age & fate.
Doctor Frost: the mysterious hero that might hold the key to everyone's fate.
Over a dozen heroes trapped in a world they never made. Not all of them will survive the experience...
