He then spent 20 years as a trial lawyer, during which time he served as Dean of a small law school, where he also taught classes on Legal Writing, to help prepare students for the state's Bar examination... and also started a new business.

The film & video production company he founded (MagicLampDVDs.com) now distributes over one hundred special interest DVD titles that include subjects such as:
Boating
Celestial Navigation
Filing for Bankruptcy
Foreclosure Investing

Learning Sign Language

Now retired from the practice of law, Gene spends most of the time aboard his yacht in Marina del Rey, California, where he is now writing books in his new series, the Suzi B. Mysteries.

Peter Sharp Legal Mystery #5, "...Until Proven Innocent," (included in the present compilation) was awarded the 2011 Global eBook Award, which was awarded to Gene.

The Peter Sharp Legal Mysteries

Volume 1: the First Six Books

Authored by Gene Grossman

SAVE ONE-THIRD! Depending on where you buy these books individually, you could pay more than eighty dollars, but if you order this 594-page first Volume of Peter Sharp Legal Mysteries compilations, containing books one through six for only $49.95, you will save at least one-third of the retail price… and that savings will continue for the similarly-priced compilation Volumes 2 and 3, which will also each contain six complete unabridged books. By way of background for this series, in 2003 Gene Grossman retired from the practice of law, and drew upon his 20 years as a trial attorney to create the first Peter Sharp Legal Mystery - and during the next decades he succeeded in writing fifteen books in the series, and went on to spin-off the most interesting character into a brand new series - the Suzi B. Mysteries. Now, Gene is breaking new ground again by offering readers the complete text of the first six books in the Peter Sharp series, so that avid readers can have them all in one volume, and save money at the same time. The same cast of characters appear every book of the series, but each one stands on its own and is a completely new story with no references to any of the previous one, so that you can start reading anyone of them at any time, without feeling that you’ve missed. With this set of the first six, you’ll have an opportunity to read the first one first. It gives a little more of the ‘back story’ about how Peter and Suzi started their law practice. Here is a complete list of the Peter Sharp Legal Mysteries – and the first two Suzi B. Mysteries: #1: Single Jeopardy #2: ...by Reason of Sanity #3: A Class Action #4: Conspiracy of Innocence #5: ...Until Proven Innocent #6: The Common Law #7: The Magician’s Legacy #8: The Reluctant Jurist #9: The Final Case #10: An Element of Peril #11: A Good Alibi #12: Legally Dead #13: How to Rob a Bank #14: Murder Under Way #15: The Sherlock Holmes Caper The Suzi B. Mysteries. EXTRA FEATURE: In addition to the complete unabridged text of all six of the first Peter Sharp Legal Mysteries, this Compilation also contains some ‘Behind the Scenes Notes’ that provide information about item that appear in each story, and any factual relationship they might have to something in real life that inspired their being used.
