About the author:
My name is Darrius McClain. I was born on September 12, 1994. I've been through a lot growing up. My father passed away when I was only 7 years old. My grandmother passed away when I was 9 years old, and their deaths showed me that life is short. That's when I realized that I needed to keep whatever dreams I had, alive. I almost gave up, until something spoke to me. It told me that it was not in me to give up. It said I was capable of so much and that I could be so victorious in life if I just follow my dream. Writing has always been my dream. I remember when I was in the 3rd grade. My teacher had assigned us a project. The project included rewriting our own version of "Jack and the Bean Stalk." I had the longest story, hand written, of 25 pages. And if I can recall correctly, I never had a chance to finish that story. Since that particular moment, I knew that I was destined to be writer. I am so proud to say that I wrote a book. I have so many ideas and thoughts that constantly invade my mind, and I would love to put them on paper. I'm just an exciting and enthusiastic person to be around and I wish to bless many more people with my ideas and talents.
