About the author:
Claire Everett's haiku, tanka and more recently tanka prose and haibun, have appeared in many of the short-form poetry journals worldwide. She was awarded 2nd and 3rd place in the Lyrical Passion Poetry E-zine international "Think Tanka" contest in 2010 and 3rd place in the LPP E-zine " Love Tanka" contest, 2012. She was a contributing poet for cycle 11 (spring/summer 2011) of the online journal Daily Haiku and served on the editorial team for Take Five Best Contemporary Tanka, volume 4, 2011. In December 2011 she became Tanka Prose editor for Haibun Today. Claire draws most of her inspiration from walks on the North Yorkshire Moors and in the Lake District. She regularly updates her online poetry blog At the Edge of Dreams and lives with her husband and children in Northallerton, North Yorkshire, England.
