About the author:
Lorel Kapke, creator of Sort Your Story, remembers sitting with her mother as she shared family stories, photos, and letters from relatives. This connection to her families past intrigued her and when the opportunity presented itself she became involved with several genealogy societies, including the Sonoma County Genealogy Society located in Northern California, where Lorel and her husband, Dick, reside. In the fall of 2005 she was asked to sit on the board as the First Vice President and Program Chair. The following year she was asked to become President where she remained until the fall of 2007. In 2008-2012 Lorel returned to the program chair position which utilized her strong organizational skills.
Through Lorel's years of research, using many of the fine genealogy computer programs available, she found that the one thing missing was a program which would allow genealogists to easily organize the many valuable records and documents they'd collected. She also wanted a way to profile one ancestor at a time. Thus was born Sort Your Story, the only organizing tool you'll need to store all of your important genealogy data in one place.
