About the Author
John Clinton Gray

After childhood in Levittown and college in Cincinnati, John's first career as an engineer made it clear he was better with words and people than with numbers and things. John and his wife, Pamela, met and married in Colorado, lived in Arizona, then moved to southern California where they founded and, for decades, led a spiritual community and one of the most successful spa businesses in America. They raised their family and traveled extensively, John as a public speaker and, recently, as a writer. John and Pamela have two grown children, two grandchildren, no more pets, and are happily empty-nesting near Lake Elsinore, California.

Gift of Seeds

Authored by John Clinton Gray

Gift of Seeds is a collection of stories as diverse as we are. Through the author's vivid descriptions, we feel what it's like to grow up in Levittown, Long Island, America's first planned suburb. With him, we survive swimming lessons and bullies, polio shots and pranks. We fall in and out of love, get back up, and find the real thing. Along the way, we encounter spiders and elephants, get acquainted with birth and death and grief, experience joy and pain, and learn about being human. The essays are poignant, funny, insightful, real. Written in a voice as old as yesterday and as fresh as tomorrow, Gift of Seeds could be everyone's memoir.
