About the author:
Robert Schenk became interested in designing mazes 30 years ago when he wrote a computer game that randomly generated mazes for the short-lived TI-99/4A home computer. Ten years later he combined computer programming with enthusiasm for designing typefaces (several hundred of his typefaces are available on myfonts dot com) to develop a unique maze-generation system. That system led to two books, Fascinating Mazes (1994) and Maze Madness (1996), published by Dover Publications. Changes during the past fifteen years in the way books are marketed and published rekindled his interest in designing maze books. Given his interest and background in typography, is is not surprising that he has used the alphabet as a organizing theme for a maze book.

Mazes with Tessellating Letters

Authored by Robert E Schenk

The 84 mazes in this book are built from letter shapes that tessellate, that is, fit together to fill the plane. This book is a followup to Puzzling Typography: Mazes with Letter Tessellations (2012); the original and this sequel may be the largest collection of alphabet tessellations that you can find. The mazes are moderately difficult and are intended for older children and adults. Solutions are included.
