About the author:
A native Coloradan, Elyse brings a unique vision of the character found in the Rocky Mountains. Fluent in French, she spent time exploring Europe and its history in her late teens. Elyse has eclectic interests in studying the human mind, philosophy, and humanity and its varied cultures. Combining that with a lifelong admiration of nature, from astronomy to geology, she has experience with a broad spectrum of knowledge.
Elyse has a poignant writing style that is both melodious and uncluttered, coming from an enduring love of poetry. The unique cadence, when coupled with dark fiction, provides an intriguing and memorable read. Her inspiration and understanding of the darker side of literature, and life, is drawn from the intimate experiences she has had in coping with hospice work, and terminally ill patients. That knowledge brings humanism to her plots, and unexpected emotions to her character development.
Elyse still lives in Colorado, with her husband, daughter, one cat, one cockatoo, and two amazing K-9 companions. A blessed work environment that will continue to add love to her writing projects, and all other parts of her life.
The Freewill Trilogy: We are not defined by the choices that are made for us; but by the choices we make when we believe that all other options have been taken away.
Mysterious murders, strange secret societies, and betrayal surrounds Christopher. Ellie finds out, if she can survive the treachery of giving your heart to another. Together, they must discover how to experience strength, forgiveness, and true love -- only by letting go of each other. Cruel and unfair, they may believe that their world is ruthless; but only by leaving behind their troubles will they ultimately overcome the horrors that await them.
