About the author:
I've been making cheeses ranging from ricotta to Romano, paneer to Parmesan for several years. I'm thrilled with my to-die-for hard cheeses, but the near-instant gratification of making soft cheese puts them higher on my list of cheeses I routinely make. And, regardless how many times I make the soft cheeses presented in this book, I'm amazed at how a process so simple can yield something so delicious.
When I first started making cheese, I was frustrated at the poor explanations in many "beginners" cheese making books. I ended up reading through many books on cheese making to really understand why certain steps were crucial. With Simply Soft Cheese, I wanted to give cheese makers the guidance they needed so they could make the best cheese possible.
I worked for years in science before discovering my true passion in writing. Since taking the plunge in 2010 to quit my day job and write full time, I have had numerous articles published in local, national and international magazines including American Gardener, Herb Companion and History Magazine, as well as on various locales across the Interwebs. My areas of focus are gardening, travel, and history. I have also won several awards for my essays and fiction.
