About the author:
Dr. Shreyas Gandhi is an electrical engineer by profession, but extremely passionate about creating and developing stories for young children. He was born and raised in the United States, and has been residing in Los Angeles, California for over 30 years. He is married with 2 children. His boys are 13 and 6, and the focus of his time and energy. Dr. Gandhi received a Doctoral degree in Education from Pepperdine University in 2009, and looks forward to continuing to develop the Amazing Adventures of Alex the Crocodile picture book series. He has a love for life, and always seeks out new adventures. Alex also loves to learn new things. He is not afraid of anything. He has a brother named Derek, and many friends that live near him in Crocodile Cove. In this adventure Alex learns how to play chess from Master Panda. Follow the adventure as they go to Master Panda's house, and Alex competes in a Chess Tournament. This is the 4th book in the series, following the success of "Alex and the Lava Pit", Alex Pretends to Celebrate Christmas", and "Alex Learns How to Surf".
