Productivity and Employability Skills
John Heap, Mike Dillon
Graduates are bright, intelligent and well-educated but they often have trouble adapting to a world of work where they are constrained by the nature of 'organisation' and a lack of awareness of what is expected of them. This book prepares students and new employees more generally for that world of work by developing a range of skills related to the kinds of tasks they will have to complete in a work environment. However it does this in the context of productivity improvement so that not only will the student be able to make a contribution to the working of the organisation, he/she will also be able to contribute to the more efficient and more effective running of the organisaition.
The book uses a number of practical exercises and examples to ensure that the reader is able to put what they learn into practice and is supported by additional online materials and resources on the Institute of Productivity website.
