The MAMA Law

Authored by Joseph Kessler Adams

THE MAMA LAW is a one set, three character play based on the need people see for a new government agency to make sure you are well behaved. Everyone is assigned a MAMA, a Metro-Rural Aggression Management Administration agent, with full power of police, court and, if necessary, executioner. The lead character has been out of the country for a while, but is quickly brought up to speed by his MAMA, Nora.

This was the first produced stage play by Joseph Kessler Adams, premiered on November 5th, 1980 at the Deja Vu in Hollywood, CA. Adams is also author of the novels CLIMBING THE SPIRAL MOUNTAIN and SONG OF ORPHANS.

Extracted from "THREE PLAYS BY JOSEPH KESSLER ADAMS", this is intended as a playbook for new live productions.
