About the author:
In 1999, on return from a business trip to America, Hope bought a raw fed kitten. Other than the bones she remembered getting from the butcher for her beloved Chow Chow as a child, this was her first introduction to raw feeding.
In 2002, Hope found a dog she fell in love with and started researching further, as the dog was raw fed. In early 2003, she then bought two raw fed puppies and the research began in earnest, including taking a number of short courses.
Having believed that she had exhausted the non-academic route, in 2009 Hope returned to full time education, taking first a Foundation Degree in Animal Management and Welfare, and then 'toping up' to a Bachelors degree in Applied Animal Studies in 2012. Throughout her studies each assignment was tailored as much as possible to scientific research on the differentials between raw and conventional feeding and its benefits.
During this time, Hope chose to use social media as a platform to teach what she had learnt and created a number of recipes which she believed were healthier than many of the market alternatives.
Hope is currently lecturing at seminars on raw feeding, taking her Master's degree, and hoping to launch a Canine Nutrition Clinic in the near future.
