About the author:
Daniel Alexander was born in Durban, South Africa in 1983. He worked as a programmer for many years and found little fulfillment in IT. A tempestuous childhood led to a unique perspective while growing up. This eventually culminated in a meltdown, which resulted in Daniel getting more involved in the parenting field.
What he saw when he dived into this world was shocking. Many children are going through similar experiences. Countless youngsters drink, abuse drugs, fall pregnant, bully, or become very shy and withdrawn. The list of self-destructive behaviors goes on and on... In addition, the number of children affected continues to grow. The sad thing is it seems these types of behaviors have become the norm. This led to a deep passion for wanting to help children have a better start to life. Daniel then wrote a book based on his experiences called Through the Crimson Mirror. It will be available in print on Amazon soon. For now, you can find it on Amazon Kindle as an eBook here http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00904HFTQ.
The purpose of Through the Crimson Mirror is to help parents understand life from a child's point of view, so that parents may give their children a better start to life. It's dark and rich, and a very real tale about growing up today and many of the problems we face as a society.
To reach a wider audience the author learned the skill of public speaking. This was no easy feat for someone who was afraid of talking to crowds. Passion fueled the dream though, which led to the author creating this book to help others in a similar position.
