40 Reflections for a Woman's Soul
A woman's heart cries loudest in the dark where hurts and fears and loss are bigger than she can bear. And when life seems hopelessly bad, the only thing she can do is open her heart and offer the hurt to God.
In Heart Cry: 40 Reflections for a Woman's Soul, author Sheila Kimball shares insights and encouragements gleaned from her meditations in the Psalms.
This book of the Bible was a constant comfort to her heart as she navigated several dark chapters in her life including divorces, single parenting, domestic violence, broken relationships, dealing with loved ones' addictions and the ramifications of her own sinful choices.
Because she's been intimately acquainted with pain and loss her varied experiences and deep faith expressed in Heart Cry provide a message of hope and inspiration for hurting women.
The 40 reflections in Heart Cry give readers confidence that with God's help they will not only survive the challenging situation they are facing, but emerge victorious.
Her warm and conversational writing style puts the reader at ease and makes a woman feel like she is sharing a cup of tea with a friend who cares.
Full of love and always pointing to God as the source of true healing, Heart Cry delivers equal doses of encouragement, wisdom, edification and grace.
