Backwoods and Back Words

Poetry, Photography, and a Tale or Two From the West Virginia Hills

Authored by Nicole Yurcaba

In this her debut collection, Nicole Yurcaba brings the reader into her neck of the woods, writing about farming, hunting, fishing, and writing in the hills of West Virginia. Her poetry and photographs reveal the beauty of her world, her style reflects an abiding affection for family, nature, and word. Yurcaba's personality shines in every phrase and image, and her poetry dances between humor and reverence in telling her stories of woods and words.
