About the author:
Gus Gallows is an avid gamer. It is through this passion that he discovered his true desire of writing. The Lore of Algoron series is the first series he has written and it is completely based on the game, Dark and Shattered Lands, a text based, old school, online role playing game founded and run to this day by his brother. He finds the free role-playing environment perfectly suited for generating story lines and interesting characters.
When Gus isn't writing or gaming, he is raising his family and paying the bills doing IT for a large manufacturing company based in Charlotte, North Carolina. Outside of work, family, and writing, he enjoys Karaoke, board gaming, and other geeky escapes.
Look for the other books in his series as well as a new Urban Fantasy series he hopes to bring to press after the Lore of Algoron series completes.

The Price of Love

Authored by Gus Gallows

Love. A very human thing this... love. The softlings claimed it could bring such peace and joy, and yet it was also responsible for so much death and dismay. Phintomini, the copper dragon, was confused by the obvious paradox. He did not understand it and as it was with all things he did not understand, he would not rest until understanding was attained. He would learn of this thing called love, but not in the way of his previous lessons. It would not be from reading the ancient scrolls, or from his spying on the neighboring cities and townships. This time, his lesson would come from that of a simple, orphaned, elven child, and a kidnapped priestess. This time he would learn of love that, though freely given, comes with a powerful price. The Price of Love.
