That would not come until his first year as an undergraduate at The College of New Rochelle. It was in college where he wrote his first story, a story about his 2 year old daughter's first trip to the dentist. From there he used every opportunity to write a story for class. He holds a Bachelor of Arts and a Master's Degree in Communication Studies from The College of New Rochelle. He lives in the Bronx with his wife Sharol, 6 children and 2 grandchildren. He enjoys kissing his wife, destroying his opponents in Madden football, playing mini golf with his family, reading Autobiographies and daydreaming...

The College Collection

Authored by T. Anthony Bland

In The Apartments Next To Mine is a collection of short stories about ordinary people that could live next door to any one of us. What you will find in this collection is a little something for everyone, no matter what stage of life you find yourself in. Whether it's a humorous look at a frightening trip to the dentist as in Chamber of Horrors or even the introduction to the James family in Going Home. A prodigal story about a family dealing with past hurts and forgiveness...but this story also leaves wondering, what's next? In Kaleidoscope, we see a family struggling with the pain many other American families feel when a family member has a mental illness. Ndulu is a time traveling science-fiction story. Or you can think of it as a metaphor. It's a trek through some of America's history seen through the eyes of two brothers. And Speaking Chinese is a sometimes humorous story about the joys and sorrows of assimilating into the American culture. There is much more...
