Cindy Freed is a family historian, researcher and writer. She has spent more than 20 years exploring her family history and has branched out into Civil War research.
Currently Cindy writes a monthly column, Tracing Blue and Gray for Going In-Depth, The In Depth Genealogist digital magazine (www.theindepthgenealogist.com). She is also a regular contributor to 4th Ohio, First Call. The quarterly magazine for the 4th Ohio Volunteer Cavalry Descendants Association. In addition Cindy writes regularly for her blog Genealogy Circle where she details her personal family research as well as her pursuit in learning about the Civil War and those who fought in it.
