About the author:
Harrie Farrow is a Life Coach for Bisexuals at Navigating the BiWays. After an idyllic childhood growing up in the Virgin Islands, her 20's were filled with adventure, travel, and education. She graduated summa cum laude from San Francisco State with a BA in Psychology and a minor in Human Sexual Studies. A brief career in freelance writing was followed with a move to the Ozarks, where she opened and operated a fine dining restaurant, raised a son, designed a beautiful house, wrote a novel, nearly finished another novel, and did more traveling. After the breakup of a 35 year long relationship, losing her restaurant and home, gaining a grandson, and a new romance, she became an investigative reporter. Four slashed tires on her car convinced her to quit that line of work and instead focus on finally publishing "Love, Sex, and Understanding the Universe." In the process of promoting the novel, she found herself suddenly a bisexual activist, with a bisexual blog. Seeing a huge need for someone who can help bisexuals, and those who love them, she started Navigating the Biways. She is also working on completing her novel, "The Man with the Camera: Bonita verses Ivan Rasta Man and the Monkey Go Round."

Love, Sex, and Understanding the Universe

Authored by Harrie Farrow

Jim first hears the word bisexual in the sixth grade. He embraces the label, but soon discovers how difficult his life is going to be. At age sixteen, his formerly liberal parents turn born-again Christian. His boyfriend Rick, who is also bi and has a girlfriend, isn't ready to come out of the closet, and if his parents knew what the two of them were doing in Rick's basement apartment, they'd never let Jim stay there. In college, Jim takes on hedonistic girlfriend, Amy, but she doesn't seem to want to know who Jim really is. After a traumatic breakup, Jim moves to San Francisco to finally be out and open but instead everything gets insanely complicated. Struggling to be true to himself in a world where no one seems to want him to be who he is, Jim spirals into mental chaos, juggling living between two lies. A married couple changes everything, but a shocking revelation leads Jim to discover that love finds its own way, and he ends up with more than he's sure he can handle.
