About the author:
Christina M. Abt is a professional writer whose specialty is telling stories of all kinds.
She began sharing stories as a young girl, often to the chagrin of those whose tales she revealed! However, storytelling is not something Christina learned. Rather, it is who she is and how she defines her life.
As an adult, Christina honed her story telling talents as a feature writer and editor for the Ridgewood Newspapers. There she was mentored by the renowned sports columnist and author, Joe King.
While raising her family of two children, Christina became a feature writer for a variety of national equine publications and later was hired as an Op-Ed columnist for The Sun Newspaper. Soon her stories were featured in national anthologies and on the Buffalo, NY NPR Station, WBFO.
Eventually Christina developed into a regular commentator and reporter for WBFO and advanced to hosting her own talk radio show on a Buffalo AM radio station called, BuffaloStyle.
Christina's first book, Chicken Wing Wisdom (CWW) was published in 2008. It is a collection of stories about Western New York women, their sense of wisdom and they ways in which they serve that wisdom with food. CWW quickly became a regional best seller and is now in its second printing.
In 1995, Christina moved to a farmhouse on the top of a hill where she had dreamed of living for 17 years. In the time that followed, Christina's own life was transformed as she undertook the transformation of her house into a home.
Within that conversion came a series of details about her home ---details that were gradually revealed to Christina and slowly came together to form the core of a story that became her second book, a historical novel entitled, Crown Hill.
Today, Christina continues to tell stories about the people, places and events that fill her world, Her writer's purpose is to tell stories that will touch reader's hearts and souls and create a legacy through which her children and grandchildren will take pride and remember her.
