Boundary Fence

Authored by R. Dewi Williams
Translated by R. Dewi Williams

'I well remember the thrill of excitement... when Boundary Fence appeared' -- Kate Roberts.

Published in the first edition of Beirniad in 1911, Boundary Fence by R. Dewi Williams is regarded as a turning point in the history of the Welsh short story. Filled with a rich and humorous understanding of the human and animal worlds, and empowered by a countryman's tolerance, it now appears in the author's own magisterial translation.

About the Author

Robert Dewi Williams was born in Denbighshire in 1870, and studied at Aberystwyth and at Jesus College, Oxford, before he was ordained as a Presbyterian minister in 1900. He died in 1955.
