About the author:
Carol Calvert Ansardi grew up in southern Illinois, a farmer's daughter. She attended the Memphis Academy of Arts and Memphis State University (now University of Memphis). As an English Honors Major, a final exam assignment in a magazine writing class was her first sale to Midsouth Magazine which led to free-lancing for Memphis Magazine until 1981. She has been a docent in an art museum, a secretary, medical editorial assistant, and a ghostwriter for a non-fiction book published in 1991. Carol has won or been a finalist in fourteen writing competitions and is a Georgia Romance Writers' Maggie Award for Excellence in Writing winner. SHAMAN WOMAN is her first novel, and it combines her love of Native American Culture, the Southwest, and the world of the paranormal where anything is possible. Carol lives near Atlanta with her husband and two Papillons.
