About the author:
Lizbeth Gabriel, just like any other writer, enjoys the sound of her own voice far too much. She tells herself it's only fair, since there are so many other voices inside her head that do most of the talking. She has just published her first book, a short story collection. It is the product of almost ten years of writing and contains two award winning stories.
Lizbeth is presently engaged in heated conversation with a pack of vampires, shape-shifters, and other mythical beings. They offer advice on what's best to do next in her upcoming vampire novel. When she doesn't find herself in such insalubrious company, she is more often than not besieged by needy cats. She wishes cats didn't like her that much.
She expects to publish the first part of her vampire novel in 2015. Failing that, it's the gallows. Or at least that's what she keeps telling herself.

The Theater of Dusk

Authored by Miss Lizbeth Gabriel

Thirteen short stories on desire, darkness, and the webs we weave. Just like in theater, the face behind the monster is human. Just like a splendid dusk, truth is never black or white. Care to join me?

Vampires, Death, a demon, an archangel, a pixie, a dominatrix, an assassin, a photographer, a rock star, a genetically modified warrior of the future and several humans populate the pages of this book. That, of course, without counting the cats...

This collection contains two award winning stories: Interlude and Saturday Night.

The Sylph- The way we see reality determines our reality.

Interlude- Allow me to introduce you Mr. Dorian Wilford, antiques dealer and collector... with a second, more disturbing hobby.

Saturday night- When escape is impossible.

Judas- Best to let sleeping dogs lie.

Goodnight- Love came a moment too late.

Rendez-vous- The rock star in question bit off more than he could chew.

Misapprehension- After all, a girl just wants to have fun.

Romance- It blooms in the most unlikely places and bears its thorns with pride.

Lady Luck- An agent of chaos meets a singer of love.

Mobius- It's just so wrong that it's inevitable.

Death and the Maiden- And cats.

A Man of Good Fortune- "Graveyards are full of those who considered themselves invincible."

Endymion- Even a god of war needs someone to come home to.

Please be aware that some of the stories contain material suitable only for adults. (+18)
