A Good Old Fashioned Redneck Country Christmas
What if the three Wise Men weren't really all that wise? What if they were just three ordinary guys, avoiding conflicts at home, who stumbled upon The Greatest Story Ever Told?
Bill, Jimmy, and Dave figure a hunting trip is the best way to get away from unpleasant holiday traditions on Christmas Eve. Unfortunately, it doesn't do anything to make the women in their lives more loving or affectionate. Lou, Barbie Jo, and Darlene are fit to be tied, but right now they have bigger fish to fry.
Lou owns Lou's Diner, the best restaurant in three counties. Bob, the stranded truck driver and his dog, Max are waiting at Lou's for Travis to fix his semi. Bob needs to get home in time for the big Christmas pageant! The light snow that looked pretty in the morning has become a full-on blizzard by noon! And the girls have burned more pies in one day than most people see in a lifetime!
Into all this chaos come Mary Sue, a pregnant teen who's lost and scared. When Lou offers to have her checked out by the town doctor, Mary Sue bolts into the storm. She manages to find shelter in an animal shed in the mountains, where the three redneck boys just happen to come looking for firewood. The boys are there to see the birth of the baby on Christmas Day, and funny thing, that baby changes their outlooks and attitudes about everything!
When the boys reunite with their lovely ladies, all is forgiven. Bob and Max make it home just in time, and as they say in fairy tales, they all lived happily ever after... Until Book 2, which takes up shortly after Book 1 ends! Don't miss either one!
